Bringing an $8.5 million apartment to life

Downtown Manhattan. Twenty-one apartments. Architecture by New York’s GHWA. Interiors by France’s Studio Jacques Garcia.

With its deco styling, subtly industrial interiors, rooftop garden, sweeping city views and full-time concierge, the word “prestigious” barely does D’Orsay justice.

Prices at the development ranged from $1.6 to $8.5 million, so they were truly elite properties. CGIs were going to be crucial in selling the opulence and attention to detail that made the development so special.

New York’s finest

Jacques Garcia’s interiors were inspired by the industrial heritage of the surrounding meatpacking district, with exposed metal beams, bronze walls and lighting designed to accentuate structural details. We loved working with these rich textures and enjoyed some of the other unique challenges the decor threw our way. It isn’t every day you get to recreate a plunge pool with a hand-finished art deco mosaic or that you render the subtleties of a unique floral plaster relief. The apartments’ views across Manhattan were also a joy to create, reflecting the key sightlines across the city.
