Here East is a new mixed-use development designed to revamp the former Press and Broadcast Centres at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Intended to continue the legacy of the 2012 London Olympics, the designs by Hawkins\Brown propose a new digital quarter for the city complete with state-of-the-art infrastructure.
To aid with planning consent we produced four images - tagged S, M, L, XL - that work through the scales to encapsulate the raw vision for Here East. The images piece together a vision of a vast new centre where creative technological start-ups will work alongside innovative global brands to create new products and business models.
The XL aerial shot positions the scheme in the context of Olympic Village and London beyond, whilst L focuses in on the office and retail sections that will sit along the canal. M shows the main courtyard and the cloud - a multi-purpose event space, whilst S captures an array of workshops along the façade, including offices, fabricators, and maker workshops, through to independent pop-up cafes.
