Defining a new creative hub for Manchester
Neo is a flagship scheme for workspace providers Bruntwood, offering a new workplace typology to the market. By completely rethinking a 1970s office block, neo transforms an unloved relic into a flexible and contemporary environment. Located right in the heart of Manchester’s city centre it’s well connected and well equipped for modern, collaborative businesses.
The development represents a new generation of workspaces for Bruntwood and we worked closely with the senior team to define a name and strategic positioning that would align it with our identified audience of “creative corporates and corporate creatives.”
From a revived form to a different type of workspace
Our naming concept ‘Neo’ was derived from the greek term meaning new, refreshed, a revived form. Containing flexible open plan floors, a digital art space in the main reception and a communal rooftop with innovative pods, the remodel of the building certainly has the features to attract the attention of creatively-minded companies. The marketing collateral and evocative CGIs we created played a crucial role in bringing the building concept to life, showing how future neo residents can adapt the open plan spaces to suit their own company culture.
